1. Service description

CPD Accountant (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”), operating at cpdaccountant.ca, is an independent third-party provider of on-demand educational tutorials for accounting professionals. We are not CPA Canada, not a provincial or territorial CPA body, and not a CPA firm. We are not affiliated with, accredited by, or endorsed by CPA Canada or any provincial or territorial CPA body. We provide slide tutorials and related learning materials. Courses may include slide tutorials, assessments, and certificates of completion. A certificate confirms only that a learner completed our tutorial and assessment; it is not a professional designation, licence, accreditation, or endorsement by any CPA body.

2. Accounts

You may need an account to access purchased courses. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping your credentials confidential, and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Payments and refunds

Paid courses are priced as shown at checkout (typically in CAD). Payments are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). Refunds: placeholder policy — please contact us before or shortly after purchase if you believe a charge was made in error. We may update refund terms and will post material changes on this page.

4. Intellectual property

All course content, slides, text, graphics, quizzes, certificates templates, branding, and software on this site are owned by CPD Accountant or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access purchased content for your personal professional learning. You may not copy, redistribute, record, scrape, resell, or publicly display course materials without prior written consent.

5. Educational purpose and CPD eligibility

Courses are independent educational tutorials only. They are not official CPA Canada or provincial CPA-body programs and are not accredited by CPA Canada or any provincial or territorial CPA body. Whether any learning time qualifies as CPD is solely a matter between you and your governing body. Always confirm eligibility and hour classification with your provincial or territorial CPA body. Certificates issued by CPD Accountant do not mean a CPA body has approved the activity.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPD Accountant and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the course giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or CAD $20 if you paid nothing).

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your province or territory.
